The Truscott Cellar, now open in Belsize Park

September 25, 2015

The Truscott Cellar, an exciting, new sixty-five cover contemporary wine bar with incredible food from chef of the moment Aidan McGee, has just opened in the heart of Belsize Park, at 240 Haverstock Hill, NW3 2AE.

This is the second venture from Andrew and Mary Jane Fishwick, owners of The Truscott Arms – who stormed the London Gastropub Awards 2015 and hold the title for Best Roast in Great Britain.

Wine is unashamedly the focus here and the list at The Cellar is second to none. Amongst the well-known names and the all-time greats are winemakers, regions and grapes that just might broaden one’s horizons. With over eighty wines available by the glass or carafe and nearly four hundred different bottles one can experiment and explore.

Head Chef Aidan McGee’s accompanying food menu provides flavours and tastes to compliment the imbibing. Small sharing plates such as Beef Chips and the Meat Board or more substantial dishes such as Beef Cheeks, Smoked Mash, Crispy Shallots; Cornish Cod, Salsify, Greens, Cider Sauce, Mussels or Colcannon, Ragstone, Basil are prepared using the very finest ingredients sourced from the same suppliers as at The Truscott Arms.

Open 12pm-12.30am seven days a week, The Truscott Cellar will make the most of being five minutes from Belsize Park tube station, and is sure to quickly become a beloved addition to this lovely area as its very first wine bar.
