On Friday, 3 June, The Magazine restaurant at Serpentine Sackler Gallery launches The Park Table, a spectacular new series of intimate outdoor dinners set in the heart of Hyde Park. This summer marks the 25th birthday of Kofler & Kompanie, the international caterer that operates The Magazine restaurant and, what better way to celebrate than with an incredible line up of chefs taking the concept of al fresco dining to a whole new level.
Taking place over nine Friday nights between June and August and featuring some of London’s most exciting young chefs, The Park Table is one long curving table seating 50 diners within the stunning backdrop of the late Zaha Hadid designed Magazine restaurant and Serpentine Sackler Gallery. It promises to be an unforgettable dining experience.
Chefs and restaurants leading the line up include: Robin Gill (The Dairy), Will Bowlby (Kricket), Merlin Labron-Johnson (Portland), Freddy Money (Paco Roncero, El Bulli), Brad McDonald (The Lockhart, Shotgun), Tiago Duarte, Pachamama, Neil Rankin (author of Low & Slow, Smokehouse) and Sebastian Myers (Sager + Wilde Paradise Row, Chiltern Firehouse). With a range of international cuisines on offer, each chef will create a four-course summer sharing menu, priced at £50 per person including a glass of Laurent Perrier Brut NV Champagne. A drinks menu featuring Chase cocktails inspired by the different cuisines and chefs will also be available alongside classic cocktails.
As well as hosting some of today’s hottest chefs in The Magazine’s kitchen, chefs Emmanuel Eger and Felix Weber have also invited some of tomorrow’s hopeful stars – trainee chefs from the Café from Crisis, a social enterprise training space, to work alongside them. All profits from The Park Table series will also go to Crisis, the UK homeless charity.
