Smoke & Salt, an exciting new 30 cover, one-year residency from two incredibly talented, bright young chefs Remi Williams and Aaron Webster will open upstairs at Islington’s best-loved Chapel Bar, 29 Penton Street, London N1 2PX on Monday 30th May 2016.
Remi and Aaron’s five-course tasting menu will be available Monday to Thursday at dinner only and is priced at a very reasonable £38 per head.
Serving the very best seasonal British ingredients beautifully but in a casual environment and championing ancient techniques such as curing, smoking and preserving, Smoke & Salt started life in August 2014 as a pop up after chefs Remi Williams and Aaron Webster met working in the kitchens of the Gladwin brothers eponymous Notting Hill restaurant, The Shed.
Aaron had previously worked for Michael Wignall at The Latymer and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal whilst Remi’s culinary journey began stateside at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and then on to renowned Boston restaurants Craigie on Main and Deuxave, before the love of his life brought him back to London
At Smoke & Salt Remi and Aaron have combined their very different fine dining backgrounds and clever use of bold and adventurous flavours, pairing down the offering and polishing the range of dishes they have created, bringing their affordable tasting menu to The Chapel Bar in Islington.
