Public House, a hidden gem situated just off Islington’s busy Upper Street, is a firm neighbourhood favourite for seriously good cocktails.
With the recent arrival of Tim Parsons to head the kitchen, Public House is set to become a firm favourite for its restaurant offering too.
The eclectic, cabinet of curiosities style interior is a big part of Public House’s charm. Vintage, mismatched tables, comfortable chairs and sofas line the long room, with two skylights at the back allowing natural light to flood into the restaurant.
Canadian Head Chef Tim Parsons fits in this environment perfectly. He has enjoyed working with Bruno Loubet, Jamie Oliver and Ed Bains in the past and, being a keen gardener, he is passionate about using seasonal British produce in his cooking.
