Recently opened Pomona’s in Notting Hill has been brightening up our dark, wintry days with its sunny Californian-inspired décor and fresh, vibrant dishes. This weekend sees the launch of their Californian brunch. Surely one of the most enjoyable American pastimes, brunch is now big here across the pond, and for good reason. At Pomona’s, Executive Chef Gareth Sanderson has created a wonderfully-West-Coast-menu inspired by his travels to LA and San Francisco.
Available from 10am to 5pm Saturday and 12pm to 5pm Sunday, the new brunch dishes feature the likes of Softshell crab and bacon burger that is really something special; Buttermilk waffle with Ginger Pig bacon slab and whiskey maple syrup; Chilaquiles rojos with pulled pork and over easy egg, and Ginger Pig ribeye steak, jalapeño hash brown with fried egg. Great smoothies, cocktails and a selection of sublime Californian wines are of course in abundance, too.
