Opera Tavern is Has Now Reopened in Covent Garden

August 1, 2019

Opera Tavern, the beloved Spanish-Italian small plates restaurant in Covent Garden, has now reopened following a sleek redesign with a brand-new menu and Head Chef at 23 Catherine St, Covent Garden, WC2B 5JS.

Sister to London’s Spanish/Italian tapas restaurants, Salt Yard, Ember Yard and Dehesa, Opera Tavern opened in 2011 in a former pub in the heart of theatreland. At a time when Covent Garden was not high on people’s agenda of good places to eat, Opera Tavern shone out like a beacon. Known for its incredible quality Spanish and Italian-style tapas and lively atmosphere, it quickly became something of an institution, attracting both rave reviews and loyal customers. With a refreshed look and feel, Opera Tavern is buzzy, warm and inviting.

New menu dishes include an incredible Sharing plate of Iberico pork served with piquillo pepper relish & pork glaze. In addition, there is Chicken saltimbocca, aubergine, capers, marsala; Welsh lamb belly, summer vegetables, hazelnut & cabra pesto; Lemon sole, courgette, basil & brown shrimp sauce and Chargrilled paleta, tropea onion, bone marrow.
