One of the most inspiring dining spaces in London, Zaha Hadid Architects’ designed The Magazine Restaurant at Serpentine Sackler Gallery now has an entirely new food offering. Emmanuel Eger took charge of the kitchen as the new Head Chef earlier this year and has, together with his Sous Chef, Felix Weber, created vibrant and exciting new menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea.
The lunch menu features Scottish Salmon Tartare, Granny Smith and Radishes; Watermelon, Burrata and Mint and Grilled Octopus, Chorizo and Lemon to start. Mains include Gressingham Duck, Charred Peach and White Asparagus; Brown Butter Roasted Monkfish, Broad Beans and Oak Smoked Lardons alongside grills (Salmon, Pork Chop, Rib-Eye) served simply with Crunchy Cos Lettuce and Sauce Béarnaise. Desserts include Triple Chocolate Cookies and Cream and Caramelised Pineapple, Macadamia and Coconut. Additionally, the set lunch menu at £17.50 for two courses and £21.50 for three is a lighter, healthy option with dishes including Chilled Pea Soup, Mint and Yoghurt and Silver Bream, Cauliflower and Almonds.
Breakfast is available Monday to Friday, brunch at weekends and the restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. The Magazine also features a 40 cover front terrace and the Kitchen Table, available for private dining with 10 covers.
