As the days get longer and the weather cooler, there’s nothing quite like the promise of comforting, hearty food served in a warm atmosphere to tempt us in from outside. To coincide with this glorious changing of the seasons, there’s a brand new Autumn/Winter menu at tapas restaurant and bar group, Camino.
The new Autumn/Winter menu comprises dishes such as Braised Ox Cheek (with Manchego cheese mash and Pedro Ximénez sauce) and Suckling lamb (with roasted butternut squash, sage juice). Vegetarian plates include Garlic Mushrooms, and Empanadilla (Thin and crispy pastry stuffed with creamy leek and Torta de la Serena cheese). Stone bass with quinoa and roasted romanesco purée joins the fish selection, or for something to share, there’s the impressive Mar Y Montaña Platter (Andalusian chicken, presa ibérica, chorizo, octopus, stonebass, huevos rotos, Lodosa peppers, watercress salad).
The Express Lunch menu, meanwhile, is available at all sites except Monument. For just £9.95 you can enjoy a main dish plus a drink (whether wine, beer or soft). Daily revolving dishes include Black Fideua with cuttlefish, mussels and squid ink noodles and Mixed Paella with chicken and prawns, Calasparra rice and saffron. Available from 12-4pm Monday to Friday, the exceptional quality of food makes this one of the best deals in London.
