Hawksmoor: Restaurants and Recipes to be published in October

August 9, 2017

Hawksmoor: Restaurants and Recipes is the second book from Hawksmoor owners, Will Beckett and Huw Gott. A must-have cookery book for carnivores, it will also be an essential read for anyone interested in the realities of restaurants, giving an insight into the many trials and tribulations they’ve faced since first opening over ten years ago. As with their first book, Hawksmoor at Home, readers are brought into the restaurants to meet the people, read the story and understand some of the thoughts, theories and geeky obsessions that have made the restaurants and the company so successful.

As for the meals, Hawksmoor: Restaurants and Recipes will contain over a hundred and twenty recipes: from refined, tweaked and perfected favourites like Mac ‘n’ Cheese to the Steak Slice that caused a social media storm last year, and from a light and elegant Lobster Slaw to big carnivorous sharing feasts as served at Hawksmoor Borough’s Cooks’ Room, including a gargantuan new Breakfast Feast. Pudding recipes include three takes on Sticky Toffee Pudding and a tribute to Ferrero Rocher, the Ambassador’s Reception. They have all been developed by Richard Turner (Hawksmoor Group Executive Chef), Matt Brown (Hawksmoor Executive Chef), Mitch Tonks (long-time collaborator and seafood guru) and Carla Henriques (Executive Pastry Chef). The new book will also contain an extensive chapter on cocktails.
