Harneet and Devina Baweja’s second Gunpowder restaurant will open at 4 Duchess Walk, SE1 2SD (part of the new One Tower Bridge development) on Monday, 3rd September.
Expect to see signature dishes such as Maa’s Kashmiri Lamb Chops and Spicy venison vermicelli doughnut, which made the original Spitalfields restaurant so popular, alongside a new menu of small dishes and bar snacks including the Chutney cheese sandwich, Chicken lolipop Madras-style and Bengali fish fingers with crisps and kasundi tartar sauce.
The 60-cover restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Saturday and will not take bookings.
Soft launch, with 50% off food only will be from Wednesday, 15th August to Saturday, 1st September for walk-ins.
Gunpowder is situated on the first floor of 4 Duchess Walk, with Custard bakery, from the same team, set to open on the ground floor in October.
