The new Foxlow Soho restaurant and bar is now open at 8-10 Lower James Street. It’s the latest from Hawksmoor founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott, in their attempt to create great neighbourhood restaurants that bring the things they most care about, to a wider audience.
With 120 covers just off Golden Square, Foxlow Soho’s design reflects its new home at the heart of London’s historic nightlife, while retaining the familiar feeling of a trusted local.
Open all day, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, the menu draws on the best seasonal produce available from British farmers and fishermen, overseen by Foxlow’s Executive Chef Lewis Hannaford. Salads and small plates at lunch and dinner include the likes of Ortiz anchovies and goat’s butter on rye crisps, Poached salmon with avocado, radish, peas and crème fraiche and Heritage beetroot salad with yoghurt and poppy seed dressing. For dinner, think seasonally changing dishes such as South coast hake, white beans and wild garlic or Salt Marsh lamb with new potatoes, little gem salad and bacon.
