Evelyn’s Table to open on Thursday, 8th February at The Blue Posts

January 23, 2018

Evelyn’s Table, an intimate eleven-seat kitchen bar serving Modern European dishes, will be opening on Thursday, 8th February. It is situated in the former beer cellar of The Blue Posts in Chinatown, and brought to you by siblings Layo and Zoë Paskin (The Palomar, The Barbary and Jacob the Angel).

Nacho Pinilla (The Barbary, Copita, The Bull & Last) will be heading the kitchen.

Seating only eleven at a marble counter facing an open kitchen, the space is warm and informal, with plates being passed straight from the range to the guest. The kitchen bar will take bookings for some of the seats, but a few will be set aside – along with two adjacent tables – for walk-ins, bringing the cover count up to fifteen.

Nacho has put together a seasonally-inspired and locally sourced menu of around ten dishes each day, priced between £8-22. Plates will include Cuttlefish ragout, Polenta bramata and Mammole artichoke, Rock salt fillet of beef and bone marrow and Brussel sprouts with oyster sauce and sesame.

Guests waiting for seats will be able to relax with drinks and snacks either at the pub or first floor bar, The Mulwray, until their seats are ready.

The Mulwray is a richly decorated wine, spirit and cocktail lounge, with dark velvets, Connemara marble and satin brass details contrast with furnishings in soft pink. The room is animated with floor to ceiling drinks cabinets crammed with liquor and fine wines. Walk-ins are welcome, and a limited number of reservations are accepted each night, with space available for parties of up to ten guests in the snug beneath the bay window.
