Evelyn’s Table, the new restaurant from siblings Zoë and Layo Paskin (The Palomar, The Barbary, Jacob the Angel) opens tonight at The Blue Posts. Evelyn’s Table is an intimate kitchen bar with fifteen covers, and a warm and informal atmosphere. The food is seasonal, with influences from across Southern Europe. Sample dishes on the concise menu include Cuttlefish ragoût, Romesco, tapioca crisps and Smoked eel, potato blini, beetroot.
Chef Nacho Pinilla has had to take time off to recover from a recent operation and the opening chef for Evelyn’s Table is Luke Robinson, previously at Corner Room, Town Hall Hotel and Bonnie Gull.
Evelyn’s Table is currently open for dinner only, Monday to Saturday and takes reservations from 5pm via theblueposts.co.uk. True to form, half the seats set aside for walk-ins and of course guests waiting can wile away the time in either the pub or bar.
