Clerk of the Works – limited edition Hawksmoor whisky

January 26, 2016

Nicholas Hawksmoor, the architect behind Spitalfields’ Christ Church and Clerk of the Works at Kensington Palace, lends his title to Hawksmoor’s new, very limited edition Speyside whisky. The 16 year old single cask, single malt was spotted (and sampled) at Craggenmore distillery by Hawksmoor’s drinks expert Phil Duffy (now running Foxlow Balham) and bottled exclusively for Hawksmoor, with label designed by illustrator Ashlea O’Neill.

Clerk of the Works is rich and full with biscuits, sweet spice and a lingering finish. There are only 223 bottles of it, available to sample from Hawksmoor and Foxlow bars. It can also be purchased from Hawksmoor Guildhall and Knightsbridge, RRP £80
