Camino Bankside already benefits from a fantastic location next to Tate Modern, and now there’s even more reason to visit as it’s recently undergone an exciting refurbishment.
The lofty space (reopened on 1 February 2017), is fronted by epic glass walls and comprising a large ground floor bar, restaurant and terrace as well as a fantastic private dining room mezzanine level upstairs, has been transformed to create a total of 70 covers, featuring a buzzing open kitchen. The bar, originally the central point of the room, has been swapped with the main restaurant area to give way to more space and allows 100 covers (up from 30), both seated and standing.
To celebrate the transformation of this vibrant tapas bar, Camino Bankside are putting their famous Asturian rib-eye steak on the menu for February only. Although the prime 35 day dry-aged steak is currently available at Kings Cross and Monument, this version will be unique to Bankside. The 20oz prime rib eye will be served with truffle sautéed potatoes, lodoso peppers, and watercress. Priced at £45 for two to share and made with the finest quality ingredients, it tastes as good as it looks.
