Bibigo Angel is a brand new, authentic and contemporary Korean restaurant and bar on St. John Street in Islington. It is a sister restaurant to the popular Bibigo Soho on Great Marlborough Street and the second London opening for CJ Food, Korea’s biggest food company. Bibigo Angel is a 90-cover restaurant serving reasonably priced, healthy and fresh, contemporary Korean food with the Korean charcoal grill barbecue being the main focus of the kitchen. The 28-cover lounge bar prides itself on an original, inventive list of Korean-inspired cocktails.
Signature dishes include: Squid and Pork Bulgogi (char-grilled pork and squid marinated in spicy chilli sauce), Traditional Bulgogi (Char-grilled beef marinated in barbecue sauce) abd and Gangnam Tong-dak (Deep fried marinated chicken served with pickled mooli, chilli and coriander). Healthy dishes include Korean Chopped Salad, Tofu and Kimchi and Bibigo’s famous Bibimbap (rice served with seasonal vegetables and Korean hot sauce).
The cocktail list features innovative drinks such as soju based Yellow Sea (soju, lemongrass, vanilla infused maple syrup and yuja tea) and classics with a Korean twist such as Ginseng Stormy (rum, ginseng, ginger beer and lime juice) alongside a selection of homemade Korean iced teas and non-alcoholic drinks.
